For over the last sixteen years Sophie has been on the board and in the driving seat of two hugely successful internet start ups and held senior positions in international blue chip organisations.  Starting her career at Reuters, she launched their first ever web based news service in 1995, moved onto her first internet start-up JCP and in 1998 relocated to New York to set up the US arm of the company; she was instrumental in JCP’s sale to Sun Microsystems in 2000 for $30 million. Sophie then held a global role within the Sun Netscape Alliance running one of their web services divisions.

In 2002 Sophie joined Wachovia Bank’s M&A division as a Director to advise them on internet business venture investments and acquisitions. By 2005 Sophie was a founding director of the multi award winning BeatThatQuote.com where she was their Product and Marketing Director, responsible for the overall development of the platform and taking the business to a level which saw it beat Facebook to be the fastest growing website in 2007.  In 2006, Sophie was a finalist of the Women of the Future Awards.

Immediately prior to joining ESP, Sophie worked as a Principal Consultant for Crystal Entertainment which was founded by Charles Garland, ex COO of 19 Entertainment (Idol, Spice Girls, Brand Beckham).  At Crystal, Sophie worked on a variety of multiplatform entertainment formats.  At the same time, Sophie also worked with David Alberts, helping him to establish WhatOnEarthIsGoingOn?

A keen sailor, Sophie is a member of the Inspirational Women’s Network and Chairman of the Macmillan Celebrity Christmas Stocking Auction.
